Steven Spielberg’s Influence Leads to Megan Fox’s Departure from ‘Transformers’

Executive producer Steven Spielberg was instrumental in the decision to dismiss Megan Fox from the third installment of the Transformers franchise, as revealed by director Michael Bay.

Just over a week prior to the release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Bay disclosed that it was Spielberg who recommended parting ways with Fox due to her controversial remarks about Bay resembling Hitler, as reported by the Daily Mail.

In an exchange with The Daily Mail, Bay mentioned, “You know the Hitler thing.

Steven [Spielberg] said, ‘Fire her right now.'”

Fox had been featured in the initial two Transformers movies but was subsequently replaced by British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the upcoming film set to hit theaters on June 29.

Originally intended to reprise her role in the third movie, Fox's comments about Bay in an interview with Wonderland magazine in late 2009 led to her removal from the project.

In the interview, Fox likened Bay to Napoleon and Hitler, portraying him as difficult to work with but intriguing outside of his directorial duties due to his social awkwardness.

Following the announcement of her departure from the franchise, Fox, aged 25 at the time, stated that she opted to explore other career opportunities.

A crew member expressed sentiments on Bay's website post-Wonderland interview, highlighting how Bay had given Fox a significant career boost from obscurity to stardom.
