Robert Pattinson has openly shared that he engaged in self-pleasure while filming intimate scenes for the 2008 film Little Ashes, portraying Salvador Dali, proudly acknowledging that his expressions of pleasure have been immortalized on film.
The star of the Twilight series worked on this movie in between his vampire adventures with former flame Kristen Stewart.
The 27-year-old actor demonstrated a dedicated approach to his craft by opting for authenticity rather than pretense, especially in the gay love scenes of this independent film.
Portraying Dali in a narrative centered on the renowned artist's relationship with poet Federico García Lorca, Pattinson explained that pretending was not an option for him.
In his words to German Interview magazine, he expressed, “So I pleasured myself in front of the camera.
My orgasm face is recorded for eternity.”
While Pattinson's revelation may be startling, he rationalized that his life is already under intense public scrutiny, making his personal details readily accessible to fans.
He remarked, “If you Google something about long enough you will know everything there is to know about me,” highlighting the invasion of his privacy.
Currently immersed in filming David Cronenberg's Maps To The Stars in Los Angeles, Pattinson's rise to stardom is primarily attributed to his role in the Twilight Saga alongside Kristen Stewart.
Contrary to the glamorous image associated with stardom, the actor confessed to GQ Spain that fame has left him feeling isolated and revealed the hidden loneliness behind the facade of celebrity.
Reflecting on the challenges of being a heartthrob, he admitted, “It's strange, you can't have a normal life.
You spend a lot of time trying to fight it, but at the end you end up finding a new way to live.
People don't notice how lonely you are.”
Acknowledging the complexities of fame, Pattinson lamented the negativity it can attract, sharing his struggles with the pressures of public perception.
Despite his discomfort with the spotlight, he acknowledged the gratitude of having experienced a semblance of normalcy before achieving widespread recognition.
Having transitioned from his Twilight days, Pattinson noted the enduring enthusiasm of his dedicated fan base, underscoring the lasting impact of his earlier work.
