Actor John Stamos delves into some of the most agonizing and shocking moments of his life in his upcoming book, If You Would Have Told Me.
Recently, Stamos revisited a distressing memory when he stumbled upon his former partner, Teri Copley, in an intimate situation with Tony Danza.
In his forthcoming memoir, the renowned Full House actor reminisces about the time he fell head over heels for the model and actress following their initial date.
Reflecting on his fondness for her, Stamos writes, “She embodies all the qualities I seek in a partner,” he shares in his memoir.
“With her endearing daughter, Ashley, from a previous relationship, the notion of becoming a stepfather entices me.
The vision of our potential family unit warms my heart.
Enveloped in infatuation, I contemplate a future with her.
Could she be the one for me?
Perhaps this is my chance at everlasting love,” Stamos pens.
Recounting the episode to People magazine, Stamos described the moment as “more harrowing than anything.”
Struck by shock and sorrow upon discovering Teri in bed with another man, John recounts fleeing the scene in tears.
Overwhelmed and “speechless,” Stamos confided to the publication, “Initially, I was ready to confront him…but once I caught sight of his physique, I hesitated.
I thought, ‘Perhaps not.
Forget it.’
And I bolted.”
Recalling further, he shared, “I distinctly remember sprinting down the driveway with tears streaming down my face, hoping to evade prying eyes.”
Narrating more about the night he found out about Tori’s betrayal, Stamos mentioned paying her a visit.
Upon his arrival, he noticed a vintage black 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster parked outside the residence.
Despite the absence of occupants, he ventured towards the guesthouse only to witness his former lover with Tony.
Labeling the moment as “my worst nightmare,” he lamented, “The blinds were shut, yet the door stood ajar.”
“Glancing inside, I spotted four feet protruding from the quaint, floral-print duvet that once provided warmth.
My beloved Teri lay intertwined with Mr. Porsche Speedster, asleep.
Although his identity remained concealed, her silhouette peeking from beneath the sheets resembled a familiar sight.”
“Struggling to contain my emotions,” he conveys, “Time seemed to halt, leaving me paralyzed.
Breathing became arduous.
A few tears trickled down my cheeks, fueling a surge of rage.
They jolted me from my trance, evoking a blend of fury and bewilderment.
I felt on the brink of eruption.”
In response to Stamos’ revelations, Copley, aged 62, clarified that her association with Stamos had concluded prior to the incident.
“I pondered, ‘What brought John here?’
as we had parted ways,” she discloses to People.
“He merely gazed at me, shook his head, and departed.”
