Former maitre d', Michael Kechiazzolina, has recently come forward with claims about an incident involving Meghan Markle's handler requesting a private table at the prestigious Michelin-starred restaurant Le Coq in New York City back in 2017.
According to Kechiazzolina's upcoming memoir titled “Your Table is Ready, Tales of a New York City Maitre d',” the handler insisted on a private table, citing that it was for someone associated with royalty.
This request came at a time when Markle was romantically linked with Prince Harry, whom she later married.
Recalling the encounter, Kechiazzolina described how Markle and her companion arrived 20 minutes before their reservation and were invited to enjoy a drink at the bar with other patrons.
However, tensions rose when the escort accompanying Markle expressed dissatisfaction with the arrangement.
The former maitre d' recounted that while Markle remained reserved, her handler made it known that they expected special treatment due to Markle's relationship with Prince Harry.
In his memoir, Kechiazzolina shared his disbelief at the situation, stating that he was unimpressed by the handler's demands and the supposed importance of their guest.
He highlighted that the restaurant catered to numerous influential individuals, emphasizing that the attention-seeking behavior was unwarranted.
Despite the escalating request for a private area, Kechiazzolina stood firm in informing them that no such accommodation was available.
Following their departure from the UK, royal experts have commented on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's perceived isolation within their social circle.
Speculation arose this week regarding the couple's potential desire to expand their family, with sources suggesting that another child could bring joy to their lives.
However, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield expressed skepticism about the likelihood of a third child, pointing out the couple's limited trust in others and their reliance on each other.
Schofield referenced Prince Harry's previous statement about limiting his family size for environmental reasons, noting that the addition of another child would contradict his earlier stance.
She highlighted the couple's strained relationships with their respective families and the challenges they have faced since stepping back from royal duties.
Despite any personal motivations for expanding their family, Schofield emphasized the potential implications of such a decision on their public image and past statements.
In a recent outing in Montecito, Meghan Markle was spotted shopping at an upscale boutique with a friend and security guard.
The boutique, known for its exclusive offerings and high price points, attracted attention as Markle left the store with a visible bag from her shopping trip.
While details of her purchases remain undisclosed, the luxurious nature of the boutique hinted at a departure from Markle's past experiences, such as her time on the game show “Deal or No Deal,” where she has spoken about feeling objectified.
As Markle navigates her new life away from the royal spotlight, her actions continue to draw interest and speculation from the public.
The incident at Le Coq serves as a reminder of the challenges she faces in balancing her personal life with the expectations that come with her status.
Amidst rumors and commentary, Markle and Prince Harry's journey continues to unfold, offering glimpses into the complexities of their evolving roles and relationships.
