Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has reportedly reached out to King Charles III for a one-on-one meeting in a bid to mend their strained relationship.
As per insights shared by US-based entertainment and royals writer Neil Sean in a recent YouTube video, Meghan is said to have made this request before heading back to California.
Sean, citing a trusted source, mentioned that Meghan's intention behind seeking this private meeting was to address any lingering issues between them, particularly due to Prince Harry's known tendency for disagreements with his father.
The purpose of this exclusive meeting, as speculated by Sean, remains undisclosed but is believed to revolve around clarifying their current standing within the royal family or potentially resolving their conflicts.
Sean emphasized that a formal letter requesting the King's presence has been sent out, following the proper protocol of addressing royalty through the equerry.
This gesture signifies Meghan's determination to set things straight, distinguish between right and wrong, and elucidate the motivations behind their actions over the past couple of years.
During the recent ten-day mourning period for Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry and Meghan resided at Frogmore Cottage, their former UK residence.
The couple returned to the UK on September 3 for various charitable engagements.
In light of King Charles III's ascension to the throne on September 8, adjustments were made to the line of succession to ensure the safeguarding of the crown and the future of Prince George.
To secure the continuity of the monarchy in unforeseen circumstances, King Charles III has been advised to designate a Prince or Princess Regent who could step in should both Prince William and Prince George be unable to fulfill their roles.
Royal commentator Robert Jobson, author of the biography “William at 40,” expressed concerns over the potential scenario of a young Prince George inheriting the throne due to tragic events.
Jobson proposed that in such a situation, Prince Harry, being a non-working royal, might not be able to support his young nephew effectively.
Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III's assumption of the throne, changes were made to the line of succession.
Prince William now holds the position of heir to the throne, with Prince Andrew ranking ninth in line.
Notably, Prince Harry stands as the next adult in line after Prince George, while Prince Edward and Princess Anne hold positions as the 13th and 16th working members of the royal family, respectively.
King Charles III, in his inaugural speech as monarch, announced the birth of his firstborn son, Prince of Wales, on September 9.
Acknowledging the significance of Scottish titles to his heir, he passed on the title of Duke of Cornwall to Prince William, alongside the responsibilities associated with the Duchy of Cornwall, previously held by the King for over five decades.
