Charlie Sheen finds himself entangled in legal trouble once more as a woman has filed a lawsuit accusing the actor of deceiving her about his HIV-positive status and endangering her health by exposing her to the virus through unprotected s–ual encounters.
Although Charlie Sheen is not directly named in the legal action, the plaintiff contends that the defendant appeared in a televised interview on November 17, 2015, where he publicly disclosed his HIV-positive status, coincidentally aligning with Sheen's own revelation during an interview on the Today show.
Furthermore, the lawsuit asserts that the defendant participated in another interview on June 21, 2016, mirroring Sheen's subsequent interview with Matt Lauer on the same date.
The lawsuit narrative unfolds with the woman, only identified as Jane Doe, recounting her initial meeting with Sheen in September 2015.
Doe maintains that before engaging in any s–ual activity, she explicitly questioned Sheen about his s–ual health history.
Allegedly, Sheen assured her that he was disease-free, urging her to place her trust in him.
According to Doe's claims, she and Sheen practiced safe s=x for approximately two months until a pivotal moment on October 26, 2015, when they engaged in unprotected intercourse.
Doe alleges that directly after this encounter, Sheen left briefly and returned with a bag of pills, revealing his HIV-positive status.
Doe insists that Sheen confessed to previous deceit and instructed her to consume the pills from the bag, assuring her that it would suffice.
She recounts that Sheen advised her to take two pills immediately and the remaining dosage later that day.
Expressing regret and betrayal, Doe asserts that had she been aware of Sheen's HIV-positive status, she would have refrained from unprotected intimacy.
Subsequently, Doe sought medical counsel independently and confronted Sheen shortly after.
She recalls Sheen deflecting responsibility onto her, claiming he acted nobly by disclosing his HIV status at all.
In a distressing encounter, Sheen allegedly reprimanded Doe for not inquiring about his well-being and callously dismissed her queries about his initial falsehood.
Doe describes Sheen's erratic behavior, including peculiar assertions about foreseeing the future and assurances that she was not in danger.
The legal complaint does not conclusively state whether the woman contracted HIV as a result of the incident.
Doe's lawsuit encompasses charges of battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and fraud against Sheen, with the plaintiff seeking unspecified damages.
Notably, Sheen faced a similar lawsuit in December 2015 from his former fiancée, Scottine Ross, who alleged analogous misconduct regarding his HIV disclosure.
As of now, representatives for Charlie Sheen have not responded to requests for comment on the matter.
