Debbie Reynolds’ Son Recalls Elizabeth Taylor, Eddie Fisher Affair: Unveiling the Reality

“My father abandoned my mother for Elizabeth Taylor,” Todd disclosed.

“A lot of people commented, ‘So your dad traded the good girl for the bad girl'… Liz didn't shy away from her image as the bad girl.

She transcended her innocent beginnings in ‘National Velvet,'” he elaborated.

Todd further expressed, “When my mother found herself in the humiliating position due to my father's actions… she maintained her grace and dignity.”

Despite enduring public shame due to the extramarital affair, Reynolds maintained her pristine reputation.

Describing his late mother, Todd remarked, “Her public persona truly reflected who she was – pure and genuine.

She didn't possess a hidden dark side.

While I've encountered many individuals who projected a different image publicly than they were privately, my mother embodied authenticity.”
