Demi Moore has unveiled shocking details in her latest book, recalling an incident where she claims her ex-husband Ashton Kutcher embarrassed her by taking a photo of her while she was intoxicated.
In her book, the actress delves into her tumultuous relationship with Kutcher and her battle with alcoholism.
She admits to resuming drinking during their marriage in an attempt to portray the “fun, normal girl” she believed Kutcher desired.
After two decades of sobriety, Moore writes that her decision to start drinking again led her down a dark path that culminated during a trip to Mexico for her 45th birthday.
During the birthday celebration with friends, Moore, now 56, found herself consumed by alcohol to the point of passing out in a hot tub.
She recounts how Kutcher, 41, reacted with anger and resentment, carrying her back to their room.
However, she found his responses to her drinking habits perplexing and contradictory.
Reflecting on the situation, Moore shares, “Ashton had subtly guided me towards this direction.
Yet, when I went too far, he resorted to displaying a photo he had snapped of me with my head resting on the toilet from the previous night.”
She expresses that what initially seemed like a harmless prank turned out to be a form of humiliation.
Moore discloses in her book, “Inside Out,” that she contorted herself in an attempt to conform to Kutcher's ideal image of a wife.
“I prioritized his desires,” she states.
“Thus, when he expressed his desire for a Thr3some, I acquiesced.
I wanted to demonstrate my spontaneity and vibrancy.”
The couple commenced their relationship in 2003 following an introduction at a dinner gathering and tied the knot in 2005.
However, their union unraveled in 2011, with the divorce being finalized in 2013.
Moore opens up about the threesomes they engaged in, recounting feeling a sense of disgrace afterward.
She alleges that these encounters contributed to Kutcher straying from their marriage.
In a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Moore emphasized that her intention is not to cast blame or depict anyone as a villain in her memoir.
“The narrative within the book revolves around resilience, and essentially, this is my personal saga,” she affirms.
Having embraced sobriety, Moore reveals her current state in the book, “Inside Out,” which is now available for purchase.
