Hollywood actress Halle Berry has revealed a harrowing incident that took place behind the scenes of the popular James Bond movie, “Die Another Day,” where she narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation thanks to her co-star, Pierce Brosnan.
The heart-stopping event occurred while filming an intimate scene for the 2001 Bond film.
Berry recounted the ordeal during a virtual chat with Jimmy Fallon, sharing how Brosnan acted swiftly to save her from choking on a fig – a prop she was using to entice Brosnan's character in the movie.
In a video call due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Berry humorously recalled the mishap, stating, “I was supposed to exude allure, trying to seduce him with a fig, but it took a dangerous turn as I started choking on it.
Pierce had to promptly perform the Heimlich maneuver.”
She further joked, “It was anything but glamorous – you had to witness it!”
Reflecting on the nerve-wracking moment, Berry expressed her gratitude towards Brosnan, emphasizing, “James Bond came through with the Heimlich.
He was my hero.
He holds a special place in my heart.”
“Dive Another Day” marked Brosnan's final portrayal of the suave spy before Daniel Craig assumed the iconic role of James Bond.
