**Jennifer Lawrence's Guilt Over On-Screen Affair: A $302 Million Sci-fi Drama**
Jennifer Lawrence, a renowned actress whose films have raked in more than $6 billion globally, found herself grappling with guilt aboard a spaceship alongside Chris Pratt while filming their pricey sci-fi flick.
Despite dispelling rumors of a romantic involvement with her “Passengers” co-star Chris Pratt, who was then married to Anna Faris, Lawrence confessed to feeling remorse over a drunken kissing scene.
In a candid 2015 interview with Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Lawrence candidly discussed her experience filming her “first intimate scene” with Chris Pratt in the 2016 sci-fi feature, “Passengers.”
The actress, who tied the knot with Cooke Maroney in 2019, acknowledged resorting to alcohol to brace herself for the awkward sequence.
The Academy Award-winning star, plagued by moral dilemmas surrounding the scene, lamented, “It felt strange.
Everyone followed protocol; no one crossed any lines.
It was just an odd ordeal.
Yet, upon returning home, I was plagued by overwhelming anxiety, questioning my actions.
He was married.
It would be my first encounter with a married man, and guilt gnawed at my insides.
I realized it was my duty, but reasoning with my conscience was futile.”
Despite seeking solace from her mother during this vulnerable period, Lawrence admitted feeling most exposed while shooting that particular scene.
Notwithstanding her regrets, speculations concerning a liaison with Chris Pratt on set resurfaced following his split from Anna Faris in 2017, with Jennifer Lawrence being wrongfully implicated.
Jennifer Lawrence vehemently dismissed claims of infidelity with Chris Pratt during the production of “Passengers” in 2018.
She refuted accusations leveled against her despite not even being in Pratt's vicinity or life at the time.
Addressing the rumors, the “X-Men” star quipped, “I never engaged in any romantic affair with Chris Pratt on the set of ‘Passengers.'
That's rich.
They divorced two years later, and suddenly it's all about ‘Jennifer Lawrence!'
Meanwhile, I was in Montreal two years down the line.”
While Chris Pratt's marriage to Anna Faris faltered, the Morten Tyldum-directed sci-fi spectacle received commendation for the lead actors' performances.
Although the film faced criticism over its storyline, it amassed a staggering $304 million worldwide against a budget ranging from $100-150 million, securing an Oscar nomination.
