According to Jones, any potential romantic involvement ceased when Kelly married Prince Ranier III.

Sinatra's subsequent visits to Monaco were primarily to support Kelly's charitable endeavors, as he maintained a strong friendship with the prince.

One year after Kelly's untimely death in 1982, Sinatra organized a tribute to honor his dear friend.

During the event held in Los Angeles, Sinatra emotionally addressed the crowd, expressing his admiration for Kelly.

Mourners included Gregory Peck, Barbara Sinatra, , and Karl Malden.

Sinatra's heartfelt words resonated with the attendees: “She was an angel among a sea of saints, and she truly belonged there,” he said, as reported by UPI.

Sinatra also acknowledged the loneliness felt by Prince Ranier III, emphasizing that they all shared a deep sense of loss for the remarkable woman they had known.
