Mila Kunis Playfully Criticizes Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon’s ‘Awkward’ Red Carpet Photos

He admitted that he was initially cautious about appearing too friendly with Witherspoon to avoid sparking affair rumors, as they are simply good friends.

However, Kunis pointed out that he had gone to the other extreme.

“My wife called me,” Kutcher shared.

“She texted Reese and me together, saying, ‘Guys, you gotta act like you like each other.'

And I'm like, ‘What is going on?'”

Kutcher explained that he refrained from putting his arm around Witherspoon or engaging in any overly friendly gestures to avoid fueling gossip about an affair.

Instead, he opted to keep his hands in his pockets while standing next to her, emphasizing that their relationship is purely platonic.

“The rumor is we don't like each other,” Kutcher stated.

“Reese and I are really good friends.

We're really close!

I don't have to defend that.”

She revealed that she has known Kunis for a long time and considers her to be a closer friend.

Despite working with Kutcher on a romantic comedy and filming love scenes together, Witherspoon emphasized that their dynamic was not at all strange.

She praised Kutcher for his professionalism and described him as a funny and goofy person.

With regards to the red carpet photos, Witherspoon confirmed that Kunis had shared her opinion about their perceived awkwardness.

“She even emailed us last night, saying, ‘You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together.

Why are you just not—' It's just fun,” Witherspoon shared.

“When you know a girlfriend so well, it was just fun to get to know her significant other because I've loved her for so long.”

The banter between Kunis, Kutcher, and Witherspoon adds a playful element to their promotional activities for Your Place or Mine.
