A Paris-Dublin flight was reportedly delayed for nearly two hours due to an incident involving French actor Gérard Depardieu, who has been accused of urinating on the plane before takeoff.
An airline passenger, known only as Daniele, claimed in an interview with France’s Europe-1 radio that Depardieu appeared intoxicated and declared, “I need to piss, I need to piss.”
Despite being instructed by cabin crew to remain seated during takeoff, he allegedly stood up and urinated on the floor.
Karen Gillo, a spokesperson for City Jet, the Dublin-based airline that operated the flight, confirmed the occurrence of the incident.
However, she stated that privacy concerns prevented her from disclosing the name of the passenger involved.
Depardieu, along with his two companions and their luggage, were escorted off the plane.
Efforts to reach Depardieu’s agent for comment were unsuccessful.
