However, the day took a dark turn.
Responding to a call from a local apartment complex, police stumbled upon a disturbing scene.
In a dimly lit first-floor apartment, they discovered the lifeless body of a shirtless man.
The man, identified as 49-year-old Bob Crane, lay sprawled on the bed with two large wounds above his left ear and an electrical cord wrapped around his neck.
The room was splattered with blood, saturating the walls and ceiling.
