In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Gene Simmons, the bassist of the iconic rock band KISS, has shed light on the countless rumors surrounding his long list of s**ual conquests.
When asked about the alleged 5,000 women he has slept with throughout his rockstar career, Simmons casually acknowledged that he has indeed heard of those numbers.
In fact, he boldly confirmed their accuracy.
One might question the validity of such claims, perhaps assuming it to be mere rockstar bravado.
However, Simmons stands firm in his assertion, stating unequivocally to The Sun, “Confirmed.”
He goes on to explain, “For me, as a heterosexual male with an insatiable appetite for adventure, partying meant being surrounded by girls.”
With a lack of self-awareness, he admits to adopting the role of a vulture, patiently waiting on the sidelines until his male counterparts were inebriated.
Simmons further reveals, “But the most attractive girls didn’t get drunk, so I would enter the scene and select whichever ‘birds,’ as you Brits say, caught my eye.”
He then delves into the inspiration behind his outrageous lifestyle, stating, “We aspired to be The Beatles on steroids.
We couldn’t possibly match their greatness, but they served as our ultimate muse.”
Describing the impact of witnessing The Beatles’ success, Simmons recalls, “We loved the concept of a four-member band where everyone is a star and everyone sings.
Only The Beatles had achieved that.
Their influence on the American music scene was profound.”
He reminisces about the deafening screams of adoring female fans at their concerts, remarking, “That’s when I realized we were doing something right!”
Despite the recent announcement of KISS’s Farewell Tour coming to its conclusion, the band faced criticism from fellow musicians, including Dee Snider, who suggested that their continued performances were motivated solely by financial gain.
However, Simmons and his bandmates remain resolute in their decision.
The grand finale of the tour will take place with two consecutive shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden in early December, marking the culmination of KISS’s extraordinary 50-year career.
