In a surprising turn of events, Margot Robbie, the talented actress known for her captivating and unpredictable roles, recently shared an amusing anecdote about a mishap on the set of the 2016 film The Legend of Tarzan.
During an intimate scene with co-star Alexander Skarsgård, Robbie admitted to getting a little carried away and unintentionally punching him in the face.
Robbie, who gained recognition for her portrayal of Naomi Lapaglia in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, skyrocketed to fame and was subsequently chosen to play the iconic character Harley Quinn in David Ayer's Suicide Squad in 2016.
During an interview, Robbie opened up about the incident that occurred while filming The Legend of Tarzan, which is a modern take on the classic tale of a boy raised in the jungle.
Starring Skarsgård as Tarzan and Robbie as Jane Porter, the film aimed to depict an intimate moment between the two leads but ended up becoming a comical and memorable on-set story.
According to Robbie, she became a bit too engrossed in the scene and accidentally landed a punch on Skarsgård's face.
However, she reassured fans that he was tough enough to handle it, saying, “I didn't injure Alexander, and I didn't punch him in the face, at least not hard.
But he's a pretty strong guy, he can take it.
We just got carried away a bit.”
Despite the film not achieving great success, this incident provided an interesting tale between the two actors.
Currently, Robbie is involved in the highly-anticipated movie Barbie, which has been generating buzz due to reports of reshoots.
As a result, the release date might be postponed.
With Barbie and Oppenheimer both vying for a same-day release, the ultimate winner will be determined soon as both projects approach their respective release dates.
Fans eagerly await Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig, which is currently undergoing reshoots for undisclosed reasons.
Recent sightings of Robbie on the set in Los Angeles indicate that these reshoots are significant for the movie.
While an official delay has yet to be confirmed, Barbie is scheduled for release on July 21, 2023, in theaters across the United States.
