Bill Hudson, the musician and ex-husband of Goldie Hawn, has spoken out about his strained relationship with his two eldest children, Oliver and Kate Hudson.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Bill accused Goldie Hawn of intentionally alienating him from their children.
According to Bill, when he and Hawn divorced in 1980, she never spoke ill of him.
However, when Hawn started dating Kurt Russell in 1983, the narrative changed, and Bill became the “big, bad wolf.”
Bill claims that Hawn would trash him, calling him an absent father, even though he was actively involved in his children’s lives.
Bill revealed that he had tried his best to maintain a relationship with Oliver and Kate over the years, but their mother continuously pitted them against him.
The final straw came when Oliver posted a photo on Instagram for Father’s Day, captioned “Happy abandonment day.”
Bill described this as a dagger to his heart and made the decision to cut ties with his eldest children.
Expressing his frustration, Bill stated, “If what he wanted was me out of their lives, then he’s succeeded.
I don’t want to see either of my eldest children ever again.
It’s over.”
He went on to criticize Oliver and Kate for still using the Hudson name despite considering Russell their father.
Bill declared that he no longer recognized them as his own and urged them to stop using the Hudson name.
Bill also mentioned his other children, Emily and Zachary, whom he shares with his ex-wife Cindy Williams, and Lalania, his daughter from a previous long-term relationship.
He emphasized that he now considers himself a father of three and mourns the loss of Oliver and Kate, even though they are still alive.
The Hudson/Hawn family has been making headlines since Oliver’s Instagram post, shedding light on the strained relationships within the family.
Bill’s side of the story offers a different perspective, highlighting the difficulties that have led to his decision to disown his children.
