In a shocking incident of road rage, a female driver was run over by a Ute after throwing an object at the driver.
The terrifying incident occurred near Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast at 5.30pm on Friday.
A bystander managed to capture the horrifying moment on video.
The video footage shows a 26-year-old woman stepping out of her blue Subaru and throwing an object at the windshield of a male driver's Ute.
Initially, the Ute driver attempts to swerve around the Subaru to avoid any collision.
However, instead of avoiding the woman, he runs her over.
As the woman falls to the ground beside her car, the Ute's tires can be seen bouncing over the lower half of her body.
Witnessing this gruesome scene, the woman immediately clutches her legs in agony while her male passenger rushes to her aid.
In the video, the driver of the Ute is seen getting out of his vehicle and approaching the injured woman sitting on the ground.
However, as he gets closer, he suddenly turns back and drives away, leaving the woman in distress.
Fortunately, another witness approaches the injured woman to offer assistance.
Police and paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and transported the woman to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Despite the severity of her injuries, she was reported to be in a stable condition.
