Princess Diana's childhood home will not be passed down to her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
Instead, the property will be inherited by their cousin, Louis Spencer.
Louis, a 27-year-old actor, prefers to stay out of the public eye and leads a very private life.
However, due to a longstanding Spencer tradition, he is set to inherit the mansion where Princess Diana grew up.
The Althorp estate in Northamptonshire, spanning 13,500 acres, is where Princess Diana is buried.
Louis, the youngest of Earl Spencer's four children, will one day take ownership of this historic property.
Described as a talented and low-key individual, Louis has chosen to pursue a career in acting.
A source close to him revealed that he keeps a low profile and focuses on his craft.
They added, “He's very low-key and genuine, decent and kind – and tall.”
Louis has an older sister, Lady Kitty Spencer, who is known for her modeling and socialite lifestyle.
Lady Kitty spoke about the tradition of male primogeniture, stating that they have grown up understanding that Louis is the rightful heir and believes he will excel in his responsibilities.
Louis spent his early years in Cape Town alongside his sisters before moving to the UK to study at the University of Edinburgh.
He is the youngest child of Earl Spencer and his first wife Victoria, who are now divorced.
Jonathan Shalit, chairman of the InterTalent agency, commented on Louis' potential in the entertainment industry.
Shalit mentioned that Louis' family name and appearance will likely attract attention, especially from American audiences.
As the inheritor of Althorp House, a Grade I listed stately home, Louis will also assume the earldom.
Reports suggest that he has already started attending trustees' meetings to familiarize himself with his future responsibilities.
In 2015, Princess Diana's brother, the current Earl Spencer, expressed his contentment with the tradition.
While he acknowledged that he would be at ease with Kitty inheriting the estate, he believed that deviating from the established customs associated with Althorp would not be appropriate.
