Brad Pitt Allegedly Influenced Courtney Love’s Exit from Fight Club

In a recent revelation, has accused of orchestrating her departure from the film Fight Club after she turned down his proposal to portray Kurt Cobain in a biopic.

Love, who was once married to the late Nirvana frontman, claims that Pitt resorted to underhanded tactics when he didn't get his way.

According to Love, she was initially selected to play the role of Marla Singer, a troubled character in the cult classic.

However, Helena Bonham Carter ultimately landed the part after Love received a phone call from director David Fincher, who allegedly informed her that she was no longer involved in the project.

During an episode of Marc Maron's WTF podcast, Love made the bold statement that she was fired because she refused to allow Pitt to portray Cobain.

At the time, Love was dating Edward Norton, Pitt's co-star, but even he was unable to convince the producers to rehire her.

Love recounted a conversation with Fincher, where he personally let her go from the film.

While expressing her gratitude towards Bonham Carter as a talented actress, Love emphasized that she never watched the movie and was dismissed solely because she opposed Pitt's involvement.

Love went on to claim that Pitt had a long-standing obsession with her and believed he was destined to play Cobain.

She revealed that Pitt pitched the idea of a film about Cobain through his production company, Plan B, but she declined the offer.

Love recalled a comment made by her friend Cameron Crowe, who jokingly stated that Pitt was on Earth to pursue her for Cobain, a notion that has persisted since 1996.

Kurt Cobain tragically died in 1994 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

While officially ruled as suicide, there have been persistent theories surrounding his death.

Cobain battled a heroin addiction, and his body was discovered by an electrician installing a security system at his home.

The toxicology report revealed high levels of heroin and a small amount of diazepam in his system.

A suicide note addressed to his imaginary friend Boddah was also found.

Fight Club, based on Chuck Palahniuk's novel, was released in 1999.

The film revolves around an insomniac office worker, portrayed by Norton, and an eccentric soap maker named Tyler Durden, played by Pitt.

The duo establishes an underground fight club as an outlet for men seeking excitement amidst their monotonous lives.

A source connected to the production responded to Love's claims, stating that she never actually received an offer for a role in Fight Club, therefore making it impossible for her to be fired.

The source emphasized that casting decisions are ultimately made by the director, not the actors involved.

The Mirror has reached out to representatives for for comment on Love's allegations.
