Eniko Parrish, the wife of comedian Kevin Hart, has opened up about her heartbreaking discovery of her husband's cheating.
In his Netflix documentary series Kevin Hart: Don't F**k This Up, Parrish, 35, discusses finding out about Hart's affair with another woman through a s**ually suggestive video, as well as his alleged extortion by his former friend Jonathan Todd Jackson in 2017.
Jackson was arrested and charged with extortion but denied any involvement.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and in September 2019, the charges against him were dropped.
However, he still faces an additional count of identity theft in the case.
Speaking in the third episode of the series, titled “What Happened in Vegas,” Parrish revealed that she discovered the infidelity through a direct message containing an edited video of Hart with another woman.
At the time, she was seven to eight months pregnant and the news left her devastated.
She immediately called Hart, expressing her anger and disbelief, questioning how he could let this happen.
Parrish recounts the ongoing struggle she faced, as Hart's actions were constantly in the public eye due to social media.
She confronted him, stating that she did not want to be a part of such behavior if it continued.
Despite the pain and humiliation she experienced, Parrish believes that going through this ordeal ultimately made their relationship stronger.
She acknowledges that Hart made a major mistake but expresses hope for a better future.
Hart admitted that the hardest part of the experience was confessing his infidelity to his wife.
He acknowledges the devastating impact his actions had on Parrish and describes it as the lowest moment of his life.
He emphasizes the importance of having support during such difficult times.
Parrish explains why she decided to stay in the relationship, revealing that she was concerned about their unborn son, Kenzo.
She wanted him to have a relationship with his father, which motivated her to work through the challenges they faced.
Despite the pain she endured, Parrish believes in second chances and forgiveness, stating that as long as Hart behaves, they will be able to move forward.
In October 2017, Hart made a public statement on Instagram, revealing an alleged extortion attempt involving a s**ually provocative video.
He apologized to Parrish, who was eight months pregnant at the time, and explained that someone was attempting to extort money from him using the tapes and images.
A month later, the couple welcomed their son Kenzo.
In September 2018, Hart spoke to PEOPLE about the efforts he and Parrish made to save their marriage after the scandal.
He praised her for her strength and support, acknowledging that their friendship is what helped them overcome the difficulties they faced.
The documentary series Kevin Hart: Don't F**k This Up is now available for streaming on Netflix.
