John Lennon Had Premonition of Impending Death, According to Close Friends

John Lennon, the legendary musician and member of The Beatles, reportedly had a sense of foreboding about his own death years before it occurred.

According to his first wife, Cynthia Lennon, John received a warning from a psychic in 1966, predicting that he would be shot while in America.

This premonition seemed to hang over him throughout his life, with friends noting his concern about the looming threat.

One of the last people to see John Lennon alive was producer Jack Douglas, who worked on Lennon’s final album, Double Fantasy.

Douglas revealed that Lennon occasionally spoke about his impending death.

He would say things like, “I might be gone soon” and even claimed that his death would be “bigger than Elvis.”

Douglas tried to dismiss these thoughts, urging Lennon to stop talking in such a manner.

However, Lennon seemed determined to document every moment of his life, as if he were trying to preserve memories before his demise.

He insisted on journals being kept and even had microphones placed all over the studio to record everything.

Douglas described Lennon as intuitive, almost supernaturally aware that something was coming.

Despite his concerns, Lennon appeared to be in good spirits in the days leading up to his death.

He was working in the studio with Douglas on the day he was shot and seemed happy and positive.

Douglas recalled that Lennon was jovial during the making of Double Fantasy, enjoying his time with his family and excited about his music.

Interestingly, this psychic warning was not the only instance where Lennon had been alerted to the possibility of his murder.

In 1966, he received a letter from someone who predicted that he would be shot in the United States.

At the time, The Beatles were about to embark on their last tour in the U.S., and Lennon initially believed that the warning referred to that trip.

However, after returning unharmed, the letter continued to haunt him, and he often mentioned his fear of being shot.

Tragically, John Lennon’s premonitions became a reality.

On December 8, 1980, he was shot and killed outside his New York City apartment building.

The world mourned the loss of an iconic musician and visionary, whose legacy continues to inspire generations.

In conclusion, John Lennon’s premonitions about his impending death have been revealed by those close to him.

Despite his concerns, he remained positive and happy in the final days of his life.

The tragic event serves as a reminder of the enduring impact of his music and the loss felt by fans worldwide.
