Jonathan Majors Convicted of Assaulting Former Girlfriend Grace Jabbari

In a highly anticipated two-week trial, actor Jonathan Majors was found guilty by a six-person jury of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

Majors, who had hoped the trial would help restore his reputation and Hollywood status, was convicted of one misdemeanor assault charge and one harassment violation.

However, he was acquitted of a different assault charge and aggravated harassment.

As the verdict was read, Majors stood facing the jurors with little reaction, looking downwards.

His sentencing is scheduled for February 6, where he could potentially face up to a year in jail for the assault conviction, although other non-jail sentences or probation are also possible.

The charges against Majors stemmed from an incident in March, where he was arrested after a confrontation with Jabbari during a car ride in Manhattan.

Jabbari, a British dancer and movement coach, alleged that Majors struck her in the head, twisted her arm, and fractured her middle finger.

Majors pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Following the verdict, it was confirmed by an anonymous source that Marvel Studios has severed ties with Majors, dropping him from all upcoming projects due to the conviction.

Majors had been set to play a central role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the antagonist Kang.

He had already appeared in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and the first two seasons of “Loki.”

His role in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” scheduled for release in May 2026 will now be recast.

Jabbari’s attorney, Brittany Henderson, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating that Jabbari hopes her actions will inspire other survivors to come forward and seek justice.

Henderson said, “Today has shown us that no abuser, no matter how powerful they may seem, is above the law.”

Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, remains optimistic and stated that Majors looks forward to fully clearing his name.

Chaudhry emphasized that the jury did not believe Jabbari’s version of events, as they found that Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her.

However, she expressed disappointment that the jury deemed Majors reckless during the incident, despite not believing Jabbari.

The verdict was preceded by the release of additional evidence in the case, including text messages, voice recordings, photos of Jabbari’s injuries, a recording of Majors’ 911 call, and surveillance footage of the incident.

Majors’ attorneys argued that Jabbari was the aggressor in the car confrontation.

Majors’ defense portrayed Jabbari as a compulsive liar seeking revenge after discovering his infidelity, while prosecutors argued that Majors had physically and emotionally abused Jabbari in an attempt to exert control over her.

They cited a previous instance where Majors allegedly discouraged Jabbari from seeking medical attention for a head injury to avoid investigation.

With the conclusion of the trial, Majors’ future in the entertainment industry remains uncertain.

The conviction and severed ties with Marvel Studios have dealt a severe blow to his once-promising career.

As for Jabbari, her hope is that justice served in this case will encourage other survivors to find the strength to speak out and seek the justice they deserve.
