Carrie Fisher’s Regret: Her Secret Romance with Harrison Ford Exposed

Carrie Fisher, the late actress known for her role in “Star Wars,” had expressed remorse for revealing her brief affair with co-star Harrison Ford before her untimely death in 2016.

In his new book, “My Girls: A Lifetime with Carrie and Debbie,” Fisher's brother Todd disclosed that she regretted the day she divulged the three-month fling in her autobiography, “The Princess Diarist,” which was published in 2016.

According to Todd, their mother, Debbie Reynolds, was unaware of Fisher's relationship with Ford when Fisher was a 19-year-old single woman, while Ford was a 33-year-old married father of two.

Reynolds strongly disapproved of both the affair and Fisher's decision to make it public.

Todd shared that Fisher eventually admitted to Reynolds, “You're right.

I shouldn't have told that story.”

Before the release of “The Princess Diarist,” Fisher acknowledged in an interview with People magazine that the romance was intense and that it alternated between Han and Leia on set and Carrie and Harrison during the weekends.

Fisher reflected on her inexperience at the time and described herself as a “bad kisser.”

She also revealed that Ford, who is now 75 years old, wasn't the best partner in bed.

Many of their encounters were a result of alcohol and drugs.

Although Ford never directly addressed Fisher's revelation, he did admit that he had been forewarned to some extent about the scandalous details in her memoir.

He also admitted that hearing about the affair after more than 30 years felt “strange.”

Ford paid tribute to Fisher during Mark Hamill's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, honoring their time together in the “Star Wars” franchise.

Carrie Fisher passed away in December 2016 from cardiac arrest, just a day before Reynolds's death.

Todd clarified that the belief that Reynolds died of a broken heart after losing Fisher was not accurate.

He asserted that Reynolds willed herself to pass away to ensure that Fisher would never be alone, as he witnessed as her son.
