Jennifer Lawrence Denies Affair Rumors with Chris Pratt

The Hollywood rumor mill is no stranger to Jennifer Lawrence, but the A-list actress is known for confidently shutting down false speculations about her personal life.

One rumor that has persisted and caused quite a stir is the alleged love affair between Lawrence and her Passengers co-star, Chris Pratt.

It's worth noting that Pratt was married to Anna Faris during the filming of the movie, but they divorced in December 2017.

Despite the incessant chatter surrounding this supposed “couple,” Lawrence is now setting the record straight once and for all: their relationship has always been purely platonic.

To provide some context, back in 2016, headlines started circulating suggesting that Lawrence and Pratt were involved in an on-set affair while he was still married to Faris.

Although the rumors died down for a while, they resurfaced in August 2017 when Pratt and Faris announced their separation.

Online trolls then attributed their split to the alleged Lawrence-Pratt affair.

Lawrence is clearly still facing media scrutiny over this rumored relationship and has recently spoken out, vehemently denying any secret romance.

In a recent interview with KISS FM, the Red Sparrow actress stated, “I never had an affair with Chris Pratt on Passengers.

That's a good one.

I mean, they got a divorce like two years later and everybody was like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence!'

And I was like, ‘What the…what I'm in Montreal two years later.'”

Faris, on the other hand, addressed the cheating rumors while she and Pratt were still together and revealed that they made her feel insecure.

However, she emphasized that Lawrence had done nothing wrong.

“I'd always taken pride in our relationship, and the coverage, even though it was just false rumors, was making me feel insecure,” Faris wrote in her memoir Unqualified.

“Jennifer and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn't need to be because she hadn't done anything wrong,” Faris continued.

“She's awesome, but of course, it's hurtful and also embarrassing when people are saying your husband is cheating on you—even if it's patently untrue.

You still feel, and look, like a fool.

But that's something I have had to learn to handle in stride.”
