In a recent court ruling in Los Angeles, Jeffrey Jones, the actor known for his role as Dean Ed Rooney in the iconic 1986 film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, has been sentenced to 250 hours of community service for failing to update his information on the s** offenders register.
Alongside his community service, Jones is also required to serve three years of probation after pleading guilty to the charge.
This sentence comes as a result of Jones’ failure to comply with the requirement to update his registry information annually.
The actor had previously pleaded no contest in 2003 to charges of employing a 14-year-old boy for s**ually explicit photography.
