Tom Cruise Is Absent from Daughter Suri’s Life, Confirms Source

Tom Cruise, the renowned actor of “Mission: Impossible,” has been confirmed to have no involvement in the life of his 16-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise.

A reliable source exclusively revealed that Tom, who is now 60 years old, has not seen his daughter for an extended period and has no role in her upbringing.

Despite Page Six's request for comment, representatives for Tom have not responded.

Suri was born in April 2006 when Tom was in a relationship with Katie Holmes.

However, after the couple split in 2011, the father-daughter relationship deteriorated further over time.

Tom himself admitted during his 2012 defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media that he had not seen Suri for three months following his separation from Holmes, who is currently 44 years old.

In a deposition for the same lawsuit, which was ultimately settled, Tom acknowledged that his ties to Scientology played a significant part in the separation from his child.

When asked if Holmes left him partly to protect Suri from Scientology, Tom responded affirmatively, stating, “That was one of the assertions, yes.”

In 2016, Scientology once again became a point of contention, as it was believed to be the reason behind the estrangement between Tom and Suri.

According to the church's rules, members are prohibited from associating with nonbelievers.

Since both Suri and Holmes were not Scientologists, Tom allegedly could not maintain a relationship with them.

A source at the time expressed that this was solely Tom's issue, suggesting that he may have been heavily influenced by the church.

Leah Remini, a former Scientologist, shared with The Post in 2020 that Scientology considers Holmes a “suppressive person,” essentially an enemy, which led Tom to believe that he couldn't be connected to Suri.

Remini further speculated that Tom's plan might be to wait until Suri is older so he can persuade her to join Scientology and distance herself from her mother.

Despite the absence of her father, Suri appears to lead a relatively normal life with her mother in New York City.

Photographs show her casually strolling through the city and spending time with a small group of friends.

In 2017, Holmes emphasized the importance of providing her daughter with a stable childhood, stating that Suri's upbringing is paramount to her work.

Holmes' representative has not yet responded to Page Six's request for comment.
