That Time Riley Keough Almost Caused a Life-Threatening Incident with Andrew Garfield

Riley Keough recently shared an alarming incident where she nearly put her former co-star, Andrew Garfield, in grave danger.

The incident took place on the set of the 2018 film “Under the Silver Lake,” where Keough and Garfield starred alongside each other.

Little did Keough know that Garfield suffered from a severe nut allergy, turning what seemed like a harmless snack break into a potentially disastrous situation.

During the filming of the mystery-thriller, Keough was munching on a granola bar just before a kissing scene with Garfield.

Unaware of his serious allergy, she was oblivious to the risks involved.

As Keough revealed in a candid Vanity Fair video, the makeup artist in the trailer noticed her snacking and raised concerns about potential peanuts in the bar.

Uncertain herself, Keough admitted, “I think.

I don't know.”

Following this revelation, the makeup artist hurriedly left and returned accompanied by the film's producer, who informed Keough about Garfield's life-threatening allergy.

Recalling the incident, Keough shared, “The producer came in and said, ‘Riley, Andrew is very allergic to peanuts, and we have to shut the set down.

They shouldn't have been at craft services, and I don't know why they're on set.'”

But also, thank God that this woman caught it because I had no idea.”

It turns out that Andrew Garfield takes his nut allergy seriously.

In fact, he even knows how to communicate his sensitivity in both English and Spanish, thanks to a friend from Chile.

The “Amazing Spider-Man” actor can inform others in Spanish that he is allergic to “all kinds of nuts” and that exposure could lead to his “muerte,” or death.

Keough admitted that the incident on set was incredibly stressful, considering the potential consequences.

However, she did mention that filming “Under the Silver Lake” was overall a fantastic experience, aside from the near-death scare involving Garfield.
