Russell Crowe Engages in Altercation with Millionaire at London Restaurant, Rescued by Ross Kemp

In a surprising turn of events, Academy Award-winning actor found himself involved in a physical altercation with millionaire businessman Eric Watson at the upscale Knightsbridge restaurant Zuma back in 2002.

The fight was only brought to an end when former EastEnders star Ross Kemp intervened before the police arrived.

Despite his reputation for portraying tough characters on screen, Crowe, who celebrated his 59th birthday last Friday, let his real-life persona take over during his visit to the swanky London establishment.

Eyewitnesses claim that things escalated quickly after the New Zealand-born actor traded insults with Watson, one of the wealthiest individuals in the country.

The incident reportedly began when Crowe congratulated Watson, who supports the New Zealand Warriors, for his club's second-place finish in the NRL.

In response, the Les Miserables star allegedly referred to the Warriors as a “bunch of coconuts,” which is considered a derogatory term in New Zealand.

This exchange led to a heated confrontation between the two men that eventually spilled into the restaurant's bar.

According to a friend present at the scene, Crowe followed Watson into the restroom, clearly looking for a fight.

The actor's aggressive manner and disrespectful comments about Watson's club infuriated the businessman.

The friend stated, “Just because he's living in Australia, he shouldn't forget where he came from.”

While it was initially believed that Crowe had suffered the most damage during the altercation, it later emerged that it was Watson who landed a few punches and knocked down the actor.

Police were called to the scene, but it was Ross Kemp, known for his tough-guy roles, who successfully intervened before their arrival.

The Grant Mitchell actor managed to restrain both men until law enforcement officers took over.

Following the incident, Watson expressed his embarrassment and shock, insisting that he is not a violent individual but rather a respectable businessman.

The altercation serves as a reminder that even celebrities can find themselves in unexpected altercations, blurring the line between their on-screen personas and real-life behavior.

In conclusion, the incident at Zuma restaurant in 2002 involving and Eric Watson highlights the potential for heated confrontations among high-profile individuals.

The involvement of Ross Kemp, another well-known actor, adds an unexpected twist to the story, showcasing the complexities of human interactions and the blurred boundaries between fame and reality.
