A former employee of actor Michael Douglas has come forward with allegations of s**ual harassment, just over a week after Douglas preemptively denied any wrongdoing.

Susan Braudy, an author and journalist, recounted her experience of feeling “humiliated” by Douglas's alleged behavior.

According to Braudy, the Hollywood star engaged in inappropriate conduct, including performing a s** act in front of her.

These claims were published in The Hollywood Reporter, 10 days after Douglas issued his denial.

In his response, Douglas vehemently denied the allegations, calling them “a complete lie” and stating that there was no truth to them whatsoever.

Douglas explained that he felt compelled to address the situation and express his concerns about what he called a “nightmare” scenario.

He wanted to get ahead of the situation before it escalated further.

Braudy worked for Douglas's company, Stonebridge Productions, in the late 1980s.

She alleges that during her time there, Douglas used explicit s**ual language and openly discussed extramarital affairs in her presence.

She also claims that his comments about her body led her to wear loose, dark clothing.

The most disturbing incident, according to Braudy, occurred during a one-on-one script meeting at Douglas's apartment in 1989.

She alleges that he masturbated in front of her, leaving her feeling humiliated.

Braudy explained that she realized Douglas believed he could act with impunity due to his power and influence.

After this incident, she vowed never to be alone with him again and ultimately left her position later that year.

Braudy credited the #MeToo movement with empowering her to come forward.

She expressed her disappointment with Douglas's response, saying that it exemplified the problem and further victimized her.

She noted that these types of reactions are why many women hesitate to share their stories, and it took her 30 years and a movement to gather the courage to speak out.

In his initial statement to Deadline, Douglas expressed bewilderment at the timing of the allegations, given that it had been 32 years since the alleged incidents occurred.

He asserted his reputation in the industry and maintained that there was no evidence against him.

Douglas also expressed concern that such accusations could hinder the progress made by the #MeToo movement, which arose in the aftermath of the Hollywood s**ual harassment scandal.

Douglas raised concerns about the lack of due process in such situations.

He emphasized the need for a fair chance to defend oneself in court and to have access to the evidence presented by the accuser.
