Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is facing another lawsuit, this time accusing him of s**ually assaulting a teenage model back in the mid-1970s.
The complaint, filed in New York on Thursday, alleges that Tyler used his fame and influence to assault Jeanne Bellino when she was around 17 years old.
This isn’t the first time Tyler, now 75, has faced such allegations.
Just last year, he was accused in a lawsuit of assaulting another teen during the same era when Aerosmith was rising to rock stardom.
Representatives for Tyler have yet to respond to requests for comment.
According to Bellino’s complaint, she worked for a children’s modeling agency in the mid-’70s and often traveled with a friend from Queens to Manhattan for gigs.
It was after one such event that her friend arranged for them to meet Aerosmith.
They met up with Tyler and his entourage on 6th Avenue.
In a video statement played during a press conference held by Bellino’s legal team, she described the alleged encounter.
She claimed that Tyler assaulted her in a phone booth in broad daylight because she had laughed at his lyrics, which apparently angered him.
Bellino stated that Tyler forced his tongue into her mouth, groped her, and pinned her against the phone booth while his friends and passersby watched without intervening.
Bellino’s complaint further alleges that Tyler touched her bre-sts, buttocks, and genitals, removing her clothing and pinning her against the wall of the phone booth.
She described the experience as shocking and mortifying, as it was her first s**ual encounter with a man.
Unable to find transportation home, Bellino went with Tyler, his entourage, and her friend to the Warwick Hotel.
She claims that Tyler assaulted her again inside the hotel but managed to escape with the help of the hotel’s doorman who assisted her in getting a cab when Tyler went to his room.
Bellino stated that she stopped eating after the incident, leading to fainting spells and hospital visits.
Her decision to come forward with her allegations against Tyler was inspired by another woman’s case against him, Julia Misley, who accused him of assaulting her during the same time period.
Tyler has denied Misley’s allegations.
During the press conference, Bellino’s lawyer, Jeff Anderson, emphasized that this lawsuit is not just about Tyler’s predatory behavior but also about the industry that has protected him over the years.
He called out the entertainment and music industry, bandmates, managers, agents, and top executives at recording companies for consciously choosing to shield predators like Steven Tyler.
As the legal battle unfolds, the accusations against Tyler continue to shed light on the dark side of the music industry and the need for accountability and justice for survivors of s**ual assault.
