Allison Mack, known for her role in the TV series “Smallville,” has been released from prison earlier than expected after serving time for her involvement in a sadistic s** cult called NXIVM.
According to Federal Bureau of Prisons records, Mack was released from a federal lockup in California on Monday, nearly a year before completing her three-year sentence.
In April 2019, the 40-year-old actress pleaded guilty to racketeering and conspiracy charges.
She admitted to being one of the top-level masters for convicted leader Keith Raniere within the Albany-based NXIVM for nearly a decade.
Initially facing a potential sentence of 14 to 17 1/2 years in prison, Mack decided to cooperate with authorities, providing them with emails, documents, and an audio recording of Raniere discussing plans to brand his victims with his initials in their pubic area.
Keith Raniere, who was convicted by a jury in June 2019, is currently serving a 120-year sentence for charges including s** trafficking, racketeering, and conspiracy.
His victims included a 15-year-old girl whom he took explicit photos of when he took her virginity.
Another victim testified that she was tied to a table, blindfolded, and subjected to an unwanted s**ual act while Raniere watched and filmed.
Clare Bronfman, an heiress to the Seagram’s liquor fortune and another key figure in NXIVM, also pleaded guilty before Raniere’s trial.
She was sentenced to six years in prison for her involvement.
The secret subgroup within NXIVM, known as “Lord/Master of the Obedient Female Companions” or “The Vow,” operated as a pyramid scheme of abuse.
Members had to recruit others to join the group to increase their own power.
Mack rose through the ranks to become one of eight top-level masters within a secret sub-group called DOS.
Its purpose was to provide Raniere with a constant supply of s**ual partners, including his nine “first-line slaves.”
To recruit women, Mack deceived them by presenting the group as a women’s empowerment organization or sorority, concealing Raniere’s role as the leader.
Once they joined, Mack used blackmail and psychological manipulation to control and extort Raniere’s victims.
She instilled fear in them by threatening to expose compromising information they had provided, such as n^de photos and damaging confessions.
One of Mack’s victims compared her to Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein.
The victim, identified as Joan, described how Mack initially seemed like an older sister figure before grooming her to become a s** slave for Raniere.
Joan stated that Mack deliberately preyed on her vulnerability and used it against her.
Lawyers representing Allison Mack were unavailable for comment at the time.
