In a recent development, rock icon Steven Tyler has vehemently denied allegations of s**ual assault and coercion brought against him by a woman who was 16 years old at the time of the alleged incidents in 1973.
Tyler argues that he cannot be held legally responsible due to his status as the plaintiff’s legal guardian during that period.
After being sued by the woman, identified as Julia Misley (formerly Julia Holcomb), Tyler has responded through his legal team with a detailed rebuttal.
According to documents obtained by a news outlet, the musician contends that the s**ual relationship between him and the plaintiff was consensual, further asserting that he was fulfilling his duties as her legal guardian at the time.
Steven Tyler, the iconic frontman of Aerosmith, has addressed the accusations made by Julia Misley, who filed a lawsuit alleging s**ual abuse by the artist during the 1970s.
Having filed the lawsuit three months ago, Misley’s claims are now met with a strong denial from Tyler and his legal representatives.
Through his lawyer, Shawn Holley, Steven Tyler has refuted any wrongdoing, emphasizing that all interactions were based on mutual consent.
Julia Misley, then known as Julia Holcomb, acknowledges engaging in a s**ual relationship with Tyler when she was 16 years old and he was 25.
It is worth noting that the two individuals reportedly maintained a three-year relationship after initially meeting at an Aerosmith concert in Portland, Oregon, in 1973.
Tyler’s defense attorney, Shawn Holley, argues that the relationship was consensual and asserts that Tyler acted as Misley’s legal guardian, granting him immunity in this case.
Holley’s defense includes a comprehensive 24-point brief outlining the reasons for Tyler’s innocence.
Furthermore, it is argued that Julia Misley did not suffer any harm or damage as a result of the defendant’s actions.
However, in support of Julia Misley’s claims, her lawyer Jeff Anderson has criticized Tyler’s response as “manipulative” and accused him of using a false legal guardianship to evade prosecution for s**ual offenses.
Anderson alleges that Tyler took Misley to a hotel where he engaged in various acts of criminal s**ual conduct.
In addition, Misley admits that she was drugged and coerced into having an abortion
