In a recent controversy, actor James Franco has strongly denied allegations that he tried to lure a 17-year-old girl to a hotel while she was on vacation with her mother in New York City.
As reported by The Huffington Post, the encounter took place when Franco was signing autographs outside the Longacre Theatre.
He met the teenager and even took a photo with her, which she later shared on Instagram along with a video of their interaction.
The accusation suggests that Franco then asked the Scottish girl to tag him in the video so they could continue their conversation.
Through a series of messages, he reportedly inquired about her age and suggested meeting at a hotel during her stay.
To verify Franco's identity, the 17-year-old requested proof, and he responded by sending her a photo of himself holding a piece of paper with her name written on it.
While the 35-year-old actor has not yet addressed the claim directly, he did post a photo on Instagram that he subsequently tweeted with the caption ‘I'M NOT!

Although the photo has been deleted from Instagram, the tweet remains visible on his @JamesFrancoTV timeline.
