In Los Angeles, California, Ben Affleck looked downcast as he engaged in a profound discussion with his former spouse Jennifer Garner on a significant Wednesday, May 17.
Despite any personal feelings, the ex-couple displayed exemplary co-parenting skills when they met in Los Angeles to drop their children off at school.
The duo, parents to daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14, as well as son Samuel, 11, seemed engrossed in a serious conversation as they walked side by side in Brentwood.
Garner even delivered a tray of goodies to their kids' educational institution before heading back to her vehicle, where the dialogue with Affleck continued.
These moments were captured just about a week after the actor was seen admonishing his current partner, Jennifer Lopez, within their SUV.
Ben Affleck, aged 50, sported denim jeans, white Nike shoes, and a plaid shirt layered under a gray peacoat.
On the other hand, the ‘Good Will Hunting' star was spotted carrying a cup of coffee as he strolled beside the ‘Dallas Buyers Club' actress, aged 51, who opted for a sporty look in blue leggings paired with a grey pullover.
Garner accessorized her outfit with mid-length socks, running shoes, and a charming pink baseball cap.
Notably, Affleck was later observed with a smile on his face as he returned to his car accompanied by his son.
Almost a week after the incident involving Affleck and Lopez, where a video depicted him shutting a car door somewhat forcefully on her, more tension seemed to arise between the pair at the premiere of Lopez's latest film, ‘The Mother.'
At the event, Affleck appeared visibly irritated while gesturing towards the ‘Ain't Your Mama' singer, indicating a potential disagreement.
Nevertheless, a professional lip reader later clarified that they were merely discussing their poses for the cameras.
Turning back to Affleck and Garner's interaction, it is evident that their children hold deep affection for both parents.
Garner disclosed in an interview that their kids may have a preference for their father's movies over hers.
She shared with InStyle magazine on April 13 that “[The kids] don't love to watch me in things.”
Continuing, she mentioned, “They do to be supportive, but I think it's a little weird to watch your mom kiss someone or cry.
It's different.”
Conversely, she noted that Violet, Seraphina, and Sam “don't mind watching their dad.”
In a recent feature with Stellar Magazine, the ‘Juno' actress expressed her sentiments regarding the public scrutiny of her and Affleck's relationship.
Garner confessed, “I really work hard not to see either of us in the press,” emphasizing her effort to shield her loved ones from media attention.
She added, “It doesn't make me feel good, even if it's something nice about one of us.
I just try to forget that I'm out there in any way, and the same with anyone I love.
I don't need to see anyone in my family made into a meme.”
