Carrie Fisher Reveals Affair with Harrison Ford During ‘Star Wars’ Filming

During the making of the iconic “Star Wars” series, the love story between Han Solo and Princess Leia transcended the screen, as disclosed by Carrie Fisher in her latest book.

Portraying Leia in the sci-fi saga, Fisher unveils in her new publication that she engaged in a romantic relationship with her co-star and on-screen partner, Harrison Ford, during the filming of the initial movie in 1976.

As reported by Radar Online, which obtained an early copy of the book, the revelation is quite surprising.

In a captivating excerpt from “The Princess Diarist,” Fisher recounts how Ford, aged 34 at the time and married with two children, offered to drive her home after a night of heavy drinking that left her in a rather intoxicated state.

Instead of merely escorting her back and bidding farewell, Ford ended up spending the night with the 19-year-old Fisher, a detail shared by the actress in her writing.

Their intimate encounter seemed ordinary for the two “Star Wars” stars, with Fisher not particularly bothered by the situation as she found Ford to be exceedingly attractive.

She also mentions Ford's comment on her kissing skills in a candid manner.

Within the pages of the book, the now 60-year-old Fisher reveals excerpts from her diary, narrating her relentless efforts to win Ford's affections.

One passage even depicts her vivid dreams of a proposal from Ford, symbolized by a golden band inscribed with the amalgamated title “Carrison.”

Following the completion of filming, Ford, who was then married to Mary Marquardt, returned to his family.

Though they eventually divorced, Fisher asserts in her book that her involvement played no role in their separation.

Despite attempts to obtain comments from Ford's representatives by various media outlets like The Huffington Post and People, there has been no response thus far.

Speculations surrounding a possible affair between Fisher and Ford, who portrayed Han Solo, had circulated for years, especially intensified by their reunion in the hugely successful “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in 2015.

Reflecting on their on-set reunion, Fisher expressed sentiments of nostalgia in an interview with the Daily News, emphasizing how the sound of Ford's boots and voice instantly transported her back to cherished memories.
