Pop sensation Miley Cyrus is well-known for her music and acting career, but she also doesn't shy away from sharing personal details with her fans.
Recently, during a podcast appearance, she delved into her sexuality and opened up about her past experiences.
During an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast on August 13, hosted by Alex Cooper, Cyrus candidly discussed her s**ual preferences.
Known for its explicit content, the podcast provided Cyrus with a platform to reveal that her initial attractions were towards women rather than men.
Recalling her early years, Cyrus disclosed that her first romantic encounters were with girls, reminiscing, “The first time I ever hooked up with anyone was with a girl—two of them.
My wig was snatched at, like, age 11.” She further shared that she often persuaded her female friends to engage in romantic activities with her, emphasizing that her attraction to girls preceded her interest in guys.
Furthermore, Cyrus expressed her feelings about relationships, admitting to feeling somewhat restless but acknowledging the importance of stability.
“I usually end up complaining that they're boring, but that's what I need.
I need boring.
I need an anchor.
I need a weight,” she confessed.
In 2015, Cyrus publicly came out as pansexual, broadening her previous discussions on her s**ual orientation.
In an interview with Elle U.K., she revealed her gender-fluid identity and emphasized her belief in equality, asserting, “I'm just equal.
I'm just even.
It has nothing to do with any parts of me or how I dress or how I look.
It's literally just how I feel.”
Reflecting on her marriage to actor Liam Hemsworth, Cyrus spoke about navigating her identity as a queer woman within a seemingly heterosexual relationship.
She highlighted the significance of redefining traditional marital norms and embracing progressive values.
“The reason we got married isn't old-fashioned — I actually think it's kind of New Age,” she stated in a 2019 Vanity Fair interview, underscoring her pride in her queer identity.
On the topic of virginity, Cyrus admitted to fabricating stories about her past to Hemsworth, her first intimate partner, when they first started dating.
Recounting the incident, she confessed, “I lied and said that he wasn't the first so I didn't seem like a loser.”
The truth eventually surfaced years later, causing some awkward revelations among their social circles.
Following her split from Cody Simpson, Cyrus has moved on, while Hemsworth is reportedly dating model Gabriella Brooks.
Despite personal challenges and revelations, Cyrus continues to be open and honest about her journey, inspiring fans with her candid discussions on sexuality and relationships.
