The internet is abuzz with amusement over one man’s alleged infidelity.
Various social media users on platforms like TikTok and Twitter are creating spoofs of the flirty text messages and Instagram DMs that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine supposedly sent to different women, none of whom were his pregnant wife, former Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo.
Levine denied having an affair on Tuesday but did admit that he had “crossed the line.”
One particularly notable parody comes from TikToker Miles Jones.
In his video, Jones claims to be the inspiration behind Maroon 5’s 2012 hit song “Payphone.”
He jokingly presents fake messages from Levine that follow the same format as the alleged ones sent to Instagram model Sumner Stroh.
While Levine supposedly expressed a desire to name his unborn child after her, Jones asks if he can name the band’s new single “Payphone” because “Jones couldn’t talk since he’s at a payphone.”
Jones captioned the video by sending his thoughts to Adam’s wife and kids, acknowledging them as the true victims despite the jokes.
The video has garnered 2.5 million views so far.
Another TikTok user went a step further and rewrote the chorus of Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”
The revised lyrics humorously mention how girls end up in DMs with Levine due to his reputation as a “horn dog,” and he seeks a girl’s name to use when his wife is due.
Director and songwriter Sam Haft also seized the opportunity to share his own fictional DM story, claiming to have received messages from the late actor Wilford Brimley.
Haft joked about Brimley asking if he had a girlfriend and inquiring whether she could fight.
He even accused TikTok of suppressing his views and encouraged viewers to repost the video to defy the algorithm.
Meanwhile, Twitter users playfully announced the emergence of more alleged texts between Levine and mystery women.
However, these turned out to be doctored images, with cartoon character Lara Croft from Tomb Raider and a white duck superimposed onto the messages.
The fabricated responses from Levine included explicit expressions of astonishment at the recipients’ appearances.
Despite the online frenzy, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo continue to present a united front.
The couple, married since 2014, were spotted picking up their children from school in Montecito, California, on Tuesday.
Furthermore, they were seen running errands around town on Wednesday while holding hands, clearly demonstrating their solidarity.
