In a recent interview, former child star Amanda Bynes shed light on her controversial Drake tweet from 2013, admitting, “I was serious, but I was also on drugs.”
Several years after announcing her retirement from acting, Bynes made headlines with her tweet directed at Drake, stating, “I want @drake to murder my vag|na.”
During her conversation with Hollyscoop founder Diana Madison, Bynes clarified her intentions, saying, “That was my way of saying, ‘Let's do it, man.'” She added, “I was on drugs and trying to be funny.
He's attractive!
What does that even mean?
It simply means, like, ‘Screw me, Drake!'”
Beyond addressing the Drake tweet, Bynes expressed her eagerness to make a comeback in acting following a brief hiatus.
“I do miss acting, and here's a surprise: I intend to resume acting,” she declared.
“I am considering TV.
Perhaps appearing as a guest on some shows I admire and potentially leading my own TV show in the future.
That's my aspiration.”
The former Nickelodeon luminary disclosed that she has been sober for three years now.
In 2014, Bynes faced an arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence, having previously encountered legal trouble for colliding with a police car in 2012, which led her to undergo rehab the subsequent year.
“I've been attending fashion school at FIDM recently.
I absolutely love it,” she shared.
“I've acquired sewing skills, designed patterns, and have aspirations of launching a clothing line down the road, with FIDM assisting me in this pursuit.
Additionally, I engage in activities such as hiking, spinning classes, and volunteering to feed the homeless, which has been a rewarding experience.”
