In a surprising confession, Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger has disclosed that he fathered a child with his housekeeper while he was still married to Maria Shriver.
The actor, now 75 years old, will be sharing his life story in the upcoming three-part docuseries titled ‘Arnold', which is set to premiere on June 7.
According to Mirror.co.uk, the tell-all docuseries will feature Arnold discussing the moment when Maria confronted him about the affair.
In 1996, Arnold had an extramarital affair with Mildred Baena, who worked as their housekeeper.
Mildred later became pregnant and gave birth to their child just five days after Maria and Arnold's son Christopher was born.
Astonishingly, at the time, no one knew that Mildred's son was actually Arnold's biological child or that Christopher had a half-brother.
It wasn't until Joseph, Mildred's son, started growing up that she noticed the striking resemblance between him and the famous actor.
However, it was not until 2010, when Joseph was 13 years old, that he discovered the truth about his biological father through the media.
In the new docuseries, Arnold reflects on the moment Maria confronted him during a counseling session, describing how his heart stopped when he heard her question about Joseph's paternity.
He admits that he told the truth and acknowledged that Joseph was indeed his son, which deeply affected Maria.
Discussing his relationship with his son Joe, Arnold reveals that initially, he didn't realize the truth, but as Joe grew older, the resemblance became undeniable.
The challenge then became how to keep this secret hidden from the public eye.
Arnold candidly acknowledges that the affair he had with the housekeeper was his biggest failure.
He accepts responsibility for the pain he caused his family and expresses remorse for the suffering they endured.
He acknowledges that Maria, their children, Joseph, and even Mildred had to endure immense emotional turmoil as a result of his actions.
“I have caused enough pain for my family,” Arnold confesses.
He acknowledges that this is something he will have to live with for the rest of his life.
The upcoming docuseries promises to provide an intimate look into Arnold Schwarzenegger's life, including the personal challenges and mistakes he has faced.
The revelation of fathering a child with his housekeeper adds another layer of complexity to his already eventful journey.
