Hyman, the daughter of renowned Hollywood actress Bette Davis, has recently made shocking revelations about her mother following the premiere of the miniseries Feud: Bette and Joan.
The show highlights the infamous rivalry between Davis and fellow Hollywood icon Joan Crawford.
Now 69 years old, Hyman had a tumultuous relationship with her mother throughout most of her life, a bond that is also depicted in Feud.
Davis passed away in 1989 at the age of 80, leaving behind a will that disinherited her daughter, stating, “I declare that I have intentionally and with full knowledge omitted to provide herein for my daughter.”
Hyman recently uploaded a video on YouTube to promote her Christian ministry, where she made startling claims about her mother.
She alleges that Davis practiced witchcraft and vowed to seek revenge when Hyman refused to comply with her wishes.
According to Hyman, Davis would gut fish while mumbling the names of people she wished to harm.
These claims are not new, as Hyman previously documented her troubled relationship with her mother in her memoir, My Mother's Keeper, published in 1985.
In the book, she portrays Davis as an emotionally abusive alcoholic.
Feud, starring Jessica Lange as Crawford and Susan Sarandon as Davis, has garnered significant attention due to its star-studded cast, which includes Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kathy Bates, Judy Davis, and Sarah Paulson.
The FX miniseries delves into the production of the iconic film Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?
According to Hollywood journalist Jeanne Wolfe, both actresses were known for their competitive nature.
They competed over men, roles, and fame.
This intense rivalry extended beyond the screen and into their personal lives.
Similar to Davis, Crawford also had a tumultuous relationship with her daughter, Christina.
Christina's memoir, Mommy Dearest, was adapted into the renowned film starring Faye Dunaway.
In a shocking revelation, a new book claims that Judy Garland, star of The Wizard of Oz, was molested by the Munchkins on set.
The book sheds light on the dark side of Hollywood during that era.
