In December 2018, Lively suffered a hand injury that led to the temporary suspension of production on the Reed Morano film.
Originally set to be released in February of last year, the film was later rescheduled for January 31, 2020.
Lively described Morano's style of shooting as intense and beautiful.

After the surgeries, Lively endured rigorous physical therapy.
She mentioned her attractive physical therapist, comparing him to a combination of Zac Efron, Fabio, and a Ken doll.
Lively explained how important respiration was during therapy, especially due to the pain involved.
Lively also shared that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, was present on set during her physical therapy appointments, although he slept in during one of them.
