Tragedy struck the entertainment world when beloved comedian and “Full House” star, Bob Saget, passed away unexpectedly last month.
In a statement released by his family on Wednesday, it was revealed that Saget’s death was the result of an accidental blow to the head.
The 65-year-old comedian had been found dead on January 9th in a hotel room in Florida, where he had performed the previous night as part of his stand-up tour.
Authorities have determined that Saget suffered from head trauma after accidentally hitting the back of his head on something.
Despite feeling no immediate concern, he went to sleep, unaware of the severity of the injury.
It is important to note that no drugs or alcohol were involved.
The medical examiner’s office in Orange County is currently investigating the incident, but has not yet provided further details about their findings.
When Saget was discovered on the hotel bed, there were no signs of foul play, according to authorities.
A hotel security officer had entered the room after Saget failed to check out, and immediately called 911 upon finding him unresponsive.
Deputies and paramedics arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, Saget was pronounced dead.
