Brad Pitt Accused of Cheating with Co-Star Marion Cotillard, Leading to Angelina Jolie’s Divorce

According to the New York Post, Jolie hired a private investigator to spy on Pitt during the filming of his latest movie and discovered his infidelity.

This revelation supposedly led to the end of their marriage.

A “well placed source” revealed to the paper's Page Six section that there is no going back for the couple, who are estimated to be worth £310 million.

The private investigator apparently provided evidence that Pitt was fooling around with Cotillard on set, which became the final straw for Jolie.

Rumors of Pitt's involvement with Cotillard had been circulating for months, as they were seen getting close while filming Allied in London.

This situation is eerily similar to how Pitt and Jolie fell in love on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004, while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

Apart from the alleged affair, Pitt and Jolie also had disagreements about their lifestyle choices.

Jolie wanted to focus on her humanitarian work and leave Hollywood behind, whereas Pitt had a strong desire to continue making movies.

This fundamental difference in their priorities contributed to the strain in their relationship.

Marion Cotillard, a French actress known for her roles in Inception and La Vie en Rose, won an Oscar in 2007 for her performance as Edith Piaf.

She starred alongside Michael Fassbender in the film adaptation of Macbeth in 2015.

In the divorce papers, Jolie is seeking physical custody of their six children while allowing Pitt only joint legal custody with visitation rights.

The couple's children include Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, Knox, and Vivienne.

Maddox, Zahara, and Pax were adopted from orphanages in Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, respectively.

Angelina Jolie has hired Laura Wasser, who previously represented Johnny Depp in his divorce case with Amber Heard.

The date of separation is listed as September 15, 2016.

Pitt and Jolie got married in August 2014 but had been together since 2004.

The last public appearance of the couple was in July, when they were seen shopping at a supermarket with their son, Knox.

Prior to their marriage, Jolie was previously wed to Billy Bob Thornton.
