The incident is currently under investigation, and no arrests have been made thus far.
On December 30th, the 27-year-old actress-singer, also known by her full name Brandy Norwood, was driving a 2007 Land Rover on the 405 Freeway when the collision took place.
According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, Brandy failed to slow down and collided with the back of a 2005 Honda, traveling at approximately 65 mph.
The impact of Brandy’s vehicle caused the Honda, driven by Awatef Aboudihaj, to strike another car before sliding sideways and crashing into a center divider.
A subsequent oncoming car, driven by 50-year-old Mallory Ham, also hit Aboudihaj’s vehicle.
Tragically, Aboudihaj sustained fatal blunt-force injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
