Breaking News: Majority of Britons Believe Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Should Lose Titles if Duke’s Memoir Criticizes Royals

As the publication date for 's memoir, “Spare,” approaches on January 10, anticipation is building within the .

A recent survey conducted by exclusive techne poll for Express.co.uk revealed that a significant number of Britons hold the belief that if the Duke's upcoming book contains criticism of the monarchy, and should be stripped of their royal titles.

The survey, which involved 1,625 British participants surveyed between November 9 and 10, found that 59% of respondents support the notion that the couple should no longer be referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex if “Spare” disparages the .

Interestingly, the survey results indicated a consensus across all age groups on this matter.

Among those aged 18-34, 62% agreed that if Harry's memoir criticizes the royal family, their titles should be revoked, while 57% of those aged 65 and older shared the same sentiment.

Furthermore, the survey revealed that 58% of conservative supporters and 59% of Labour voters are in favor of stripping Harry and Meghan of their titles if the book contains disparaging remarks about the monarchy.

Similarly, 60% of Remainers and 58% of Brexiteers concurred that the Sussexes should lose their titles under such circumstances.

The upcoming release of “Spare,” a book that alludes to the concept of “the heir and the spare,” is scheduled for January 10 worldwide.

This publication follows a series of controversial statements made by Prince Harry and post-Megxit, as they currently reside in the United States after stepping back from their official royal duties in 2020.

With the book set to be unveiled just months into King Charles's reign, the royal family is bracing themselves for potential new revelations.

Rumors suggest that Prince Harry made a last-minute adjustment to the release date of his book following the recent passing of the Queen.

Touted as a raw and unfiltered account, “Spare” promises to provide readers with a candid insight into pivotal moments in the Duke's life, including his experiences following the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana.

The press release from Penguin Random House describes the book as a poignant reflection on love triumphing over grief, offering profound insights, personal reflections, and hard-earned wisdom.

Prince Harry's decision to pen his memoir comes amidst his transition to a new life in California with Meghan Markle, away from the constraints of royal life.

The Duke's complex relationships with his father, , and his brother, , are expected to be explored in the book.

Notably, Prince Harry announced last year that he would be working with writer Junior Moringa on his memoir, emphasizing his desire to share his story authentically and transparently.

In a separate news piece, an awkward interview between Princess Anne and Mark Phillips sheds light on the power dynamics within their relationship.

The couple, who wed in 1973 and divorced in 1992 before remarrying, faced challenges early on, as revealed in a 2002 documentary.

The interview hinted at Princess Anne's assertive nature within their marriage, with Captain Mark Phillips acknowledging her role as the dominant figure at home.

This glimpse into the couple's dynamic provides a nuanced perspective on their relationship dynamics.
