Former British soccer player and Hollywood actor Vinnie Jones found himself in trouble with the law after a bar fight in downtown Sioux Falls.
The 43-year-old, known for his roles in movies such as “Snatch” and “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,” was arrested following the altercation at Wiley’s Tavern.
According to authorities, the scuffle took place late Thursday, resulting in Jones sustaining cuts on his face from a beer glass.
Witnesses reported that Jones charged at Jesse Bickett, who retaliated by hitting him with the glass.
Bickett’s roommates, including Juan Barrera, were also involved in the brawl.
The incident reportedly began when Jones joined a game of pool with Bickett and his friends.
However, things turned sour when one of them recognized Jones from his role as Juggernaut in “X-Men” and made a comment about it.
Offended by the remark, Jones allegedly punched Barrera and proceeded to push his other friends around.
As a result of the altercation, Bickett, 24, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Jones, on the other hand, received medical treatment for his injuries at a local hospital before being charged with simple assault.
He posted bail the following morning.
Deb Bickett, Jesse’s mother, expressed concern for Jones, stating that he wouldn’t want to run into her.
Meanwhile, Jones’ manager, Alex Cole, revealed that he had been unable to reach the actor, who was supposedly on vacation.
During the incident, one of Jones’ companions hinted that the actor was in the state for hunting purposes.
