Charlie Sheen Faces Assault in Malibu Home by Woman with Weapon

A recent incident saw a woman, identified as Electra Schrock, allegedly assaulting the well-known actor , 58, within his Malibu residence.

The events unfolded when deputies received a call regarding a disturbance related to battery around 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Following this, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department stated on Friday to USA TODAY that the suspect, Schrock, was taken into custody for charges of assault with a deadly weapon and residential burglary.

Her court appearance was set for Friday morning.

In an official statement from the sheriff's department, it was confirmed that upon investigation, was recognized as the victim of the assault.

Reports from sources such as the Los Angeles Times and NBC News indicated that the incident occurred at Sheen's home; however, a spokesperson for the sheriff's department refrained from elaborating further.

Requests for comments from Sheen's representatives have been made by USA TODAY but are yet to receive responses.

Initial coverage of this incident was provided by TMZ.

According to records obtained from the sheriff's department, Schrock, aged 47, is facing serious charges.

If found guilty of assault with a deadly weapon using force capable of causing bodily harm, she could potentially be sentenced to a maximum of four years in state prison or one year in county jail, in addition to a fine of up to $10,000.

Meanwhile, charges of first-degree burglary carry the possibility of a six-year term in state prison.

In recent times, Sheen has maintained a low profile, attributing this to being sidelined from the entertainment industry.

The former “Two and a Half Men” star has been public about his struggles with substance abuse and has faced legal issues for incidents involving domestic violence, including the assault on his ex-wife Brooke Mueller in 2009 and former girlfriend Brittany Ashland in 1996.

During an appearance on the British talk show “Loose Women” in 2019, Sheen disclosed his year-long sobriety journey.

Reflecting on his tumultuous past, he expressed bewilderment at the chaos he had caused and the mental space he had found himself in.

Currently, Sheen can be seen in the new Max series titled “Bookie,” where he portrays a character grappling with a gambling addiction.

This project marks a reunion between Sheen and the show's co-creator, Chuck Lorre, following a prolonged period of estrangement since Sheen's dismissal from Lorre's “Men” series in 2011.
