Charlize Theron recently shared that she is raising her eldest child, who was assigned male at birth, as a girl.

The Academy Award-winning actress opened up about her seven-year-old daughter, Jackson, revealing that initially, she also believed Jackson was a boy.

However, everything changed when Jackson, at the age of three, expressed her true identity to Theron, stating firmly, “I am not a boy!”

Theron, known for her roles in films such as Mad Max and Monster, emphasized the importance of allowing her children to define their own identities.

She expressed, “I have two beautiful daughters who, just like any parent, I want to protect and I want to see thrive.

They were born who they are, and it is not for me to dictate who they should be or where they fit in this world.”

The actress adopted Jackson in 2012, followed by her second daughter, August, three years later.
