Chris Pratt’s Ex-Wife, Anna Faris, Doesn’t Blame Alleged Jennifer Lawrence Affair for Their Divorce

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, two incredibly famous actors, starred together in the film Passengers.

In the movie, their characters fall in love with each other.

Despite their undeniable talent, Lawrence and Pratt found their love scenes to be uncomfortable, especially when they had to share their first kiss on screen.

Like any other on-screen couple, the stars became embroiled in controversies in order to enhance their on-screen chemistry by appearing as a “real couple.”

There were rumors that Chris Pratt, who was married to Anna Faris at the time, had an alleged affair with Jennifer Lawrence, his co-star in Passengers.

After eight years of marriage, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris divorced in 2018.

Faris spoke out about feeling “hurt” when rumors of the supposed affair between her ex-husband and Jennifer Lawrence surfaced in 2016.

Being a celebrity, especially a movie actor, is not as straightforward as it may seem.

They make millions of dollars for their work and lead seemingly luxurious lives.

However, they often have to work on location for extended periods, film intimate scenes with their co-stars, and sometimes become the target of fabricated cheating rumors in the tabloids.

These rumors can understandably upset their real-life partners.

In addition to dealing with the complex emotions that come with filming such intimate scenes with a married co-star, Jennifer Lawrence also had to face rumors of an on-set affair.

Even though the rumors died down after the movie's release, they resurfaced in 2017 when Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced their divorce.

During an interview on KISS FM, Lawrence denied having an affair with Pratt while filming Passengers.

She expressed her surprise at the rumors, saying, “They got a divorce like two years later and everybody was like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence!'

And I was like, ‘What?

I'm in Montreal.'”

When the allegations of an affair between her ex-husband and his Passengers co-star first emerged in 2016, Anna Faris opened up about feeling “hurt.”

However, she made it clear that she never harbored any ill will towards Lawrence.

In her autobiography, Unqualified, Faris reflected on this moment, saying, “I talked to Chris about how hurt I felt, even though I knew there was no truth to the stories [that he cheated on me].

At first, he didn't understand…

I didn't want to pay attention to the stories, but I couldn't ignore them completely.

The false rumors were making me feel insecure.”

It didn't take long for the tabloids to create a narrative about Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt while they were filming Passengers in 2016.

Anna Faris revealed in her memoir that her publicist had warned her about the likelihood of media uproar.

Faris stated, “Jennifer [Lawrence] and I really are friendly, and she was apologetic even though she didn't need to be because she hadn't done anything wrong.”

She further added, “It's hurtful and embarrassing when people say your husband is cheating on you, even if it's completely untrue.

You still feel like a fool.”

Despite the criticism Lawrence faced when Faris and Pratt announced their divorce, she once again denied the rumors during a conversation with KIIS FM.

Faris and Pratt have moved on from their past relationship and are now with new partners, while Lawrence is happily married to Cooke Maroney.
